By default, Yapper transcribes on your device. You can opt into cloud refinement for harder edits — it's clearly labeled and per-request. Audio is never used to train models.

Any macOS app where your cursor blinks. That includes browsers, Slack, Notion, Figma, Cursor, VS Code, Mail, Messages, and Terminal. Windows, iOS, and Android are coming.

Out of the box, Yapper sits in the high 90s for English. Add 25 vocabulary words (names, jargon, products) and the error rate halves again.

Yes — the local model handles transcription and most polishing without a connection. Cloud edits gracefully fall back to local.

Yes — Both Sides (Max plan) listens to your Mac's audio output alongside your microphone. Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, FaceTime, podcast playback, a Twitter video — anything routed through your speakers gets transcribed too. Yapper separates your voice from the other side and saves the whole conversation to your timeline, searchable later.
